Downloading your own Instagram stories is quite an easy process, and a couple of steps separate you from it. You don’t need to use third-party apps as you did for downloading other people’s stories. Here are some concrete steps on how to do it directly from your Instagram app:

Step 1:

Open your Instagram app to enter your profile.

Step 2:

Then, open your story and tap More at the bottom right corner.

NOTE: If you want to download a story from the past, go to the Story Archive field from the profile menu, choose your story and tap the same three dots.

Step 3:

When the menu shows up, tap Save video or Save photo, depending on the media type.

Step 4: After that, go to your phone gallery and you will find your Instagram story saved there.
